New Rustie Tracks

Posted in Music with tags , , , , , on October 22, 2009 by REAL BAD

My favourite DJ of the moment? Probably. One of my most anticipated album of 2010? Definately. Head over to Rustie’s MySpace to check out new tracks ‘Neko’ and ‘Relay’, which FACT reckon will be making their way onto his new album.

Wireblock + Dress 2 Sweat + Stuff = NUMBERS

Posted in Music with tags , , , , , , , , on October 15, 2009 by REAL BAD

It’s great to be able to post about actual music news once in a while, as opposed to just posting links to mixes that I think are good.

I’ll let the guys over at Numbers explain it through their brilliant website, but be sure this is a great move for these guys. in 2010 Numbers will be holding it down stronger than they ever have before. Exciting times.

OH

and there’s a mix to go along with it too, a sort of Dress 2 Sweat retrospective. Their final release from L-Vis and Bok-Bok is a killer too.

Be sure to catch the (re)launch parties in Glasgow and London. Especially the one in London. Dorian Concept is not to be missed.

Back on it…

I haven’t posted for ages. I’ve been busy doing stuff like this. But, it’s all back on now. I could go back over all the stuff I missed but I’ve lost the charger for my computer so I haven’t got long.

The Fader / NME have posted up a remix of Simian Mobile Disco’s track ‘Cruel Intentions Ft. Beth Ditto’ by none other than the king of the Bristol dubstep scene, Joker. Like everything that he lends his hand to these days, the remix is flashy, hard hitting and guaranteed to get your head nodding. Grab it over at The Fader

Glasgow’s best club night, Numbers, seems to be making more moves towards becoming a world-dominating record label. The latest signing comes in the form of Taz Buckfaster, a 26 year old Glasgow native who seems to be following in Joker’s footsteps. Tracks of his have been knocking around on various Wireblock/Numbers mixes for a while now, but there’s a great interview over at Sonic Router that finally puts a face to the music. As if that’s not enough, he’s provided a mix crammed with original dubs. Interview HERE and mix HERE

Finally, shout out to Joe Ruckus for everything this weekend. READ HIS BLOG.

Slugabed

Numbers just posted a remix of La Roux’s “In For The Kill” by Slugabed. Not really a fan of La Roux’s original, but this one really brings the heat. Get it over at Facebook and show some love.
